What I do

Services

Straightforward guitar care, done properly, without the guitar-shop price tag.

Electric guitar restrings

Fresh strings fitted, fretboard cleaned and a full tuning check included every time.

Acoustic guitar restrings

Restrings only on acoustics — fretboard clean and tuning check included. I don't do electrical work on acoustics (see below).

Input jack repairs

Crackly or faulty input jacks on electric guitars diagnosed and fixed properly.

Soldering work

General soldering on electric guitar electronics — pickups, switches, pots and wiring.

What I don't do

  • Electrical work on acoustic guitars (preamps, under-saddle pickups)
  • Fret work, truss rod work, structural repairs or refinishing

If your guitar needs one of these, I'll say so honestly rather than take it on.

A young guitar tech, trusted with the good stuff

I'm a young guitar tech based in Shaldon, with hands-on experience restringing, soldering and fixing guitars.

I'm recommended by a local guitar teacher, and guitars can be dropped off and collected through them too. Every guitar is photographed at pickup to record its condition, and every instrument is handled with care — worked on over a soft towel, with the finish protected throughout.

This is a young person's business run with parental support — messages are seen by a parent.
